NetConnect for OnDemand/400 provides web browser access to any object stored in IBM's OnDemand for iSeries Spool file archive or AnyStore features. Imagine being able to access any document in OnDemand from your web browser, whether connected to the AS/400 via an intranet, extranet, or internet.

Intranet

Obviously, you can allow your own employees to take advantage of NetConnect for OnDemand/400 in an intranet environment. This is a solution for the corporate road warrior who needs access to daily inventory reports, weekly sales forecasts, or monthly production figures. Using nothing more than their laptop and a browser the sales force can dial back to the corporate office and access the complete OnDemand repository.

Extranet

NetConnect for OnDemand/400 is ideally suited to broadening your reach via an Extranet. In today's extended business environment, with the proper security on the AS/400 and authorization defined within OnDemand, you can allow your business partners or clients to view for themselves the proof of delivery documents, invoices, or other business documents. You could dramatically reduce the number of calls to your customer service department regarding lost documents or faxes that were never received. The client simply uses their web browser to access items within OnDemand that are indexed by their account number.

Internet

Across the Internet, there are scenarios for providing solutions on the World Wide Web, such as a subscription service to access selected spool files, AFP documents, or TIF images stored in OnDemand. With a proper Firewall in place there are truly endless applications that can be customized for your particular business application.
